The task
Moki sells black stainless-steel zodiac necklaces, twelve signs in six colours each. For the existing WooCommerce shop the work was about visibility in Google Search and in Google Merchant Center.
In parallel a new shop is being built, with its own design system and a checkout that follows German consumer law. It is not live yet.
What I delivered
- Keyword research from 328 search suggestions, checked against Search Console
- 24 product titles, descriptions and intros in German and English
- Structured data, redirects and a repaired product feed
- Rebuild: Saleor with a Next.js storefront in the Moki design system
- Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, PayPal and Klarna payments through Stripe
- Right of withdrawal in the checkout, account deletion and data export
- Automatic checks after every deploy: accessibility, Lighthouse and a smoke test
Problems solved
Sign-in limits by the real address
The storefront sent the server’s address instead of the customer’s with every sign-in, so a few failed attempts could have locked out everyone. Now the real address counts.
A Swiss channel in francs
Merchant Center only accepts Swiss francs for Switzerland, so the rebuild gives Switzerland its own channel with CHF prices and texts.
The account deletion link
The link in the confirmation email only opened the home page. Now it leads to a page where one click deletes the account.
One type scale on every page
One typeface and one size scale apply everywhere, including cart, checkout and account pages.
